Giovanni wished Connor farewell and exchanged information with him. It had been nice to see him. The woman Emily was still there - she seemed very close with Connor's fiance. She was pretty - very much so in fact. Had he not seen Connor with Ayden, he probably would have tried for something, but now there were too many questions in his head.
Giovanni approached her. "It was very nice to meet you, Signorina."
He gave her a polite smile.
"You too."
She smiled too - it was a beautiful smile and Giovanni rethought his decision to not ask her to continue the conversation elsewhere, but he withheld.
He walked Emily to the exit and then they parted ways. Giovanni headed back to Jensen's apartment - he still didn't consider it his home. His mind was on love. He always thought he had wanted nothing serious with anyone, but Connor and Ayden had seemed so happy together. Ordine said that was love - it didn't seem so bad - quite the opposite actually.
Giovanni still didn't think it was something he was capable of however. As he walked, Giovanni felt a pain gripping his chest. He didn't understand it.
"Lonely....
As always, Ordine was always ready with an answer. Giovanni frowned as he walked. He had never felt this pain before - that he could recall anyways - and suddenly, he felt envy for all those who had what he could not.
