Love... Infatuation perhaps... He was different. But that wasn't what this was. He was mostly certain of it. But testing him? He'd given him no reason to doubt him. Not ever. Not even in this. It wasn't the first time he'd slept whatever mark they sent him. "Me out of my bar? They sent me here. If they doubted me why send me?" It didn't matter really.

His weakness. "Come." Hayden smiled grabbing another drink. "It is best that he does not see me."

There was no where to run. Nox was somewhere on the train. He was likely sitting and waiting -- maybe he found a gal or guy to settle in with. Though he'd yet to do that since boarding. He seemed intent on other things, being alone didn't seem his style though Hayden couldn't tell what he was doing. Hayden knew where his car was and let Gideon wander past. He didn't go. But Nox wasn't there. He was elsewhere on the train.

[[ooc: Let's assume nox is off hunting the channeling that isn't supposed to be going on. They can follow him or not but I'll let Gideon respond to hayden's raction and the empty car Smile ]]

Gideon only shrugged a little at the question, a perfect picture of innocence. Though as Hayden beckoned them on, the mischief was ill concealed behind another sip of his drink. Of course he had no intention of staying hidden – he wanted to meet this fable of a guy, not spy from the shadows. Hayden’s secret β€œmission” was safe, or safe enough, but his brother spoke with too much open admiration about this supposed mark to presume Gideon wouldn’t be curious enough to strike a conversation. He kissed Saelia on the cheek and murmured a promise that he would be right back.

Hayden hung back when they reached the carriage, and Gideon continued to saunter on. To yawn-worthy discovery, since there was no one to discover. A ruse perhaps, though he didn’t find he minded – or at least he was still interested in an explanation. β€œTsk. Seems you lost him.” Though his lips tweaked a grin, it was an accusatory glance Gideon threw back at his brother. He shook his glass, ice tinkling. β€œFortunate you’re a decent barman,” he added with a grin – for a decent spy, he implied, Hayden was not.

Hayden laughed. "Lost him. We are on a train." He looked into the window and shrugged. "His bag is still there so he's coming back. We are on a train. Where is he going to go?"

Hayden shrugged and put his arm around his brother. "We can find some other trouble to get into."
