Aria spoke softly- "I need a break. You don't want to me to lose control of the pain. And I don't want it passing to you."-
and it broke him out of his concentration. He looked at her and then at the clock.
"It's ok Aria. Take whatever time you need. You're doing good."
Truth was, he had forgotten about her special...needs, once he'd started. He was in that place again, where time did not exist. Nothing did except the art and the needle and the ink and the skin.
He sat back and started to clean his needle and refill the ink wells. Aria called out to the girl- Rune was it?- something about the richy richs of Moscow. He thought it odd, but said nothing. Sergei was stooped over Rune's arm, inking her, while Thal wandered the shop, stopping at this or that piece on the wall. He looked from his wells to Aria's turned face. This was the first time it had gotten too much for her, when Aria'd had to stop him. They still had a ways to go.
As he worked, his eyes periodically flicked up to Aria. She was pretty. There was some definite chemistry there. The other girl was pretty hot too. And of course Thal. He smiled and looked back to his work. Kind of a lucky day, really. Three hot girls all walk into his shop roughly at the same time. He chuckled at the thought, eyes flicking to Aria and Rune once more. He saw Aria turn her head to look at him and he smiled at her. Yeah, definite chemistry.
When she felt ready, he would start again.
