Linking Experiments (Kallisti)
#10

Liv let the power go and let Sterling have a try before Jared came over exclaiming the men couldn't link by themselves. It was a curiosity and Liv could see that Nox was trying hard to distract himself from what they were doing. But he didn't always manage. He was sad for a moment then it would flee and he's return to the nothingness. It was getting easier and easier to see he was always tense and missing something. She hadn't known him long, but she recognized the difference.

Sterling tried to grab the power through them both. Emily first and then her. It still felt odd giving up the power, but the young girl did it well and she was all smiles. She wove a ball of light that made the entire lounge glow with its sunlike quality. Everyone turned and Nox rolled his eyes muttered, "Show off."

The power fled quickly as Sterling dropped it. "If this is all to heal Nox, then I think whoever is going to try to heal him so practice linking and then maybe working together on weaves."

Sterling's talents lay with compulsion, not with healing. Cadence was better at healing, but Liv knew Nox better. And that could play a factor in it. She'd felt Nox before the change, she'd healed him several times before he lost his ability. Now that it was drawing near to what the result was be, Nox was paying more attention and Liv was getting nervous.
