They all seemed to be getting it. Some seemed to be adjusting to the feeling of the power flowing through you better than others. It was an odd feeling still - that feeling of no control. Emily couldn’t help but smirk at Nox’s show-off comment to Sterling. Sterling suggested that the person who was going to heal practice and practice using the weaves together. That would be a good idea - if they knew what to do.

”Maybe…” Emily said thoughtfully as she noticed that Liv seemed to be getting nervous. ”But perhaps we should all talk first - come up with a plan of how to proceed.” Emily gestured to the group, inviting them to come closer, making sure to include Nox as well. He should be included in this as well. ”I’m assuming the standard healing weave has been tried. Giving it more power might work, but it might not. Before we go on - we should find out what we know. We have a lot of good heads here, perhaps we can come up with more. What do we know?”

Jared offered Emily a seat and she took it with gratitude, others began to sit as well. ”If Wicked has my scans done, we might have more to look at too,” Jared reminded as he sat next to her.

Cadence, who had sat next to Marta who was positively beaming, raised her hand almost reluctantly, as if embarrassed. ”Im sorry…but I’m not sure what this is about.”

Emily nodded, she would have been out of the loop about this. ”Nox here has lost his ability to channel the power. We’re trying to figure out how to fix it.” Cadence flinched as she nodded in understanding.

Nox interrupted "We haven't actually tried to heal it out right. I've been healed since, but not explicitly tried to do something about whatever is missing." He said sitting down on the edge of the stage and then hopping off. The other performers were well on their way to fixing what they felt was wrong with their performance.

Nox pulled his wallet out from the pocket in his outfit. It was a bit warm as the song played in his ear was constant. He projected the brain scans and spoke into the air like a weirdo. Everyone here should be used to his bizarre ways. "Wicked you had time to get the scans from Jared yet?"

He didn't wait for a response Sage would answer soon or not at all depended on his current activity. It wouldn't surprise him if he and Aiden were being intimate. Sage had his priorities and his boyfriend was number one -- most of the time.

Nox pulled up his brain scan and the 3d drawing program and overlaid the two. Sterling giggled a little bit as she drew a line through the air to show everyone that it was a fun little trick. Nox rolled his eyes.

Instead of Sage answering directly a second scan pulled up along side Nox's. It wasn't nearly as complete as his, but it captured the details they needed of the brain. On the side of his scan was a running list of data points. Things Nox didn't really understand, but Sage would explain anything he needed to know.

Nox pulled a chair over to the group and sat down on it backwards. "This is where the horde was." Nox flipped between the before and after scans and overlaid Jared's on top. It wouldn't be a perfect match but at least they could see something different. He hoped anyway.

The discussion was starting to happen and Emily was feeling optimistic. It was odd because things had been rough for awhile with Rachel's problem. But the group itself seemed to be dedicated to figuring this out. If there was something, Emily believed they could find it. A beep from her wallet took her attention - a text from Elyse asking if Rachel could have a sleeping pill. It had been awhile since she had one, so there wasn't an issue. Assured that Rachel was doing okay, Emily was about to put her wallet away and return to the discussion, but it beeped again. She had a doctor appointment and had lost track of time. That was why her wallet had been set to remind her beforehand.

She stood up and went to Jared who was intent on the scans and wrapped him in a side hug. "Have to go to my appointment," she said. "You got this? Jared nodded, and turned to the group. "I have a doctor appointment and so I have to head out. It was very good to meet all of you! Wishing for the best!" Emily said with a smile.

Emily didn't head straight out, instead she went to Cadence she wanted to have a short conversation with the woman. "Hey, Emily Shale-Vanders," she whispered while offering her hand to shake. "So sorry we haven't been able to meet yet, things have been really crazy.

Cadence smiled. "That's okay. I understand."

"Thank you. I really appreciate that," Emily pulled out a card and handed it to her. "That has my personal number on it. We'll set up a lunch for sometime in between Christmas and New Years. I'm so glad you want to be involved."

"I'm looking forward to it," Cadence said.

Emily turned to leave the club. Jared would take it from here.

Jared gave Emily a kiss as she turned away to leave, noting she first went to the pop singer. The two had been needing to meet to discuss the Orphan Project, but it had yet to happen. Between Rachel and Cadence's recording schedule, they both had difficulties setting a time. It didn't surprise Jared she wanted to touch base, even briefly.

Jared turned back to the scans. His scan was overlayed over Nox's and sure enough, there was a difference right at the spot the horde was. It was difficult to tell what though. "Can we separate the scans again and zoom in on this spot." Jared pointed to the place where the discrepancy was.

"I can," a disembodied voice said and did so.

Jared first looked at his - the healthy brain of a channeler. The spot showed what appeared to be a construct of neurons. Then he turned to Nox's, and at this zoom, the difference was obvious. Whereas Jared's was connected, Nox's was not. There was a noticeable cut through one, frayed at the edges. They didn't seem like they would even touch if stretched out.

"There's our hole. Looks like the horde ate through it," Jared said, contemplating. "The gap is enough that I don't think standard healing will do it. We will likely need to try something different. Doesn't mean it can't be healed and that we shouldn't try it the other way. There has to be a way to do it."

Jared's voice held confidence. They knew what the problem was, and that was a big part of figuring out how to finding a solution. Jared wasn't sure what to do here though. Hopefully someone had an idea.
