Needle in a Haystack

Things escalated faster than Rune expected. She didn’t slow it down, either. It was a blink of an eye and suddenly Mik’s bare chest was laying heavy upon hers, and with it the most rapid of sensations threaded her entire body. She was so aware of every single second yet it felt like she was in another world entirely. She returned his passion with all the heat of her own pent up over way more years than she was embarrassed to admit.

She was spent faster than she expected, too, and in a way that left her feeling like she didn’t want him to look at her afterward. She hurriedly grabbed one of the pieces of clothes strewn around them in order to cover herself up. It was one thing to make out naked, and it was another to actually see each other, naked. She tried to shimmy up a little from beneath him, awkwardly propping herself up on the point of her elbow despite how badly it sunk into the cushions. “Sorry, Mik. I guess I’m a little drunk,” she muttered.

Mik was surprised at the way Rune responded to him. I mean, yeah, sex was about hungers and all that. And of course he was hungry. He was always fucking hungry.

But Rune....well, there was hunger and there was being famished. Starvation. He'd gone maybe a day or two without eating before. And fuck yeah, the next meal was massive and left him in a food coma. But it wasn't the same.

This was more like the sexual version of the meal Rune ate. Like she had been starving or something. It was desperation. And fear she'd never eat again.

He let the power go. He wasn't really sure why, exactly. He had a good buzz going, of course. But the power seemed to be overwhelming him, now that his mind had turned slightly to her. Her desperation pulled at him and made him feel like he needed to focus.

Because he wasn't starving. He'd had sex earlier that week and would probably in the next. No biggie. But there was something she wanted from him. And it cost him nothing to give it. Karma and all that, he supposed. It was easy so why not.

So he focused on her, tried to make sure she  enjoyed herself- and that she got hers. It was maybe a bit sooner than he expected, despite how he tried to hold her back. Her breathing increased sharply just before it happened. And in that moment, if felt like she retreated in on herself.

She shifted under him, trying to cover herself up. He moved back to give her room, handing her a shirt- his or the one she had been wearing, he didn't know. At her words, he smiled. "No apologies. You didn't do anything wrong."

He looked at her again, not in a leering way, a friendly smile at his lips. After a moment, "It's OK to be different. Doesn't make you any less beautiful." He looked at the table with the remnants of their meal. Finally..."That was the first time you let anyone see you like that...right?" Another pause, remembering his own first time- first TIMES. "Yeah, It's scary to open up like that. I know. To let people in..." He shook his head slightly, thinking about it, before looking at her again with a slight curve to his lips.

His smile was genuine. He didn't press.

It was really nice of Mik to be so cool about everything. Rune just nodded to answer his question. What else could she say? She just kind of sat there awkwardly for a while afterward until she decided it was an ok amount of time to go back to the bathroom. In there, she cleaned up and splashed water on her face, tilting her cheeks and neck into the light to study her skin. It felt itchy, but thankfully there wasn’t any hair there. She had no idea how much longer that was going to last, and she was almost out of the meds Uncle Seth got her. With a sigh, she came back and found Mik. “Do you think it’d be cool if I crashed here tonight?”

So people had kinds of different post-nut moods. Some just wanted to sleep, feeling all good and content and spent. Others got all talkative or jokey and wanted to go do something like clean or go out and eat. A few went quiet and became emotional, some even crying a bit- not from pain- but from the endorphins or whatever. Now, when there was a scene being played, yeah, there was some aftercare and soothing that had to be given because there was a definite emotional seesaw. But a Dom always made sure to have that stuff prepared ahead of time- had already talked to the Sub about what they would need.

Mik was totally in the sleep category. Maybe veg out to something in case it didn't happen right away. Definitely in the leave any clean up until later place. The fuck was wrong with people wanting to tidy up and put things away. How that didn't spoil the post game feels, he didn't know.

But different strokes, you know?

Rune was in the emotional place. Which he got. Definitely her first. Probably feeling all sorts of things at the moment. Which was fine. Not his job to tell people what to feel. She got up and headed to the bathroom. He just lay back on his couch naked, the room somewhat cool now against his skin. He was too lazy to put anything on, so left the cool.

He didn't drift off- not yet. He wouldn't do that until she had gotten situated. Probably needed to spend the night. She could have the couch or they could share his bed. Didn't matter to him.

When she came out, he opened his eyes, not realizing he had closed them. "Sure, you can crash here." He forced himself up- well at least sat up and put his arms on his knees as he looked up at her. He nodded behind him with his head. "The couch here is pretty comfortable. I sleep on it all the time." He patted a chest next to the couch, opened the lid to show a pillow and a blanket. Another nod to down the hall. "Bedroom's fine too, if you don't mind sharing." He grinned. "I promise not to sleep hump you."

Then he forced himself to stand and looked down at her and then toward the rest of her clothes, thinking through the fog that forced itself on him. Yeah, he wanted to sleep. "Either one is fine. I can get you situated with the Nebesa Gate Casino in the morning. Put you in touch with my guy. Get you set up." He yawned. Yeah, bed, definitely. "Whatever else you need, too."

He was going to head on back, but for some reason stepped forward first and gave her a brief firm hug. "You'll be ok. You got this." A smile and then he headed down the hall to his room. The bed was soft and cool as he crawled in. A perverse thought came to him as he started to drift off. Hope she doesn't rob me. And then. Who cares.

Rune was pretty chill after that. She wasn’t quite sure she could totally relax, but it was as close to it as she’d come in forever. So she said she’d talk to Mik in the morning, and that hopefully the job thing would work out. She was okay with leaving behind her life as an ‘exterminator’ and maybe joining the real world for once.
