WoT Animated Film

I am all for more WoT content, but I am such a cynic when it comes to Red Eagle/iwot -_-

https://www.ign.com/articles/the-wheel-o...hite-tower

"It is an action-adventure about a young girl with a special gift whose life is forever changed when evil visits her remote mountain village. Finding herself alone in a dangerous world, she must go to The White Tower to learn how to use her magical powers in order to save her family and friends. Rebellious and distrusting, she learns that friendship can be as powerful a weapon against evil as any form of magic."

Anything prequel based is a HUGE playground. But that blurb essentially sounds like the books. Like, literally Nynaeve. I hope the animation is pretty at least (assuming it gets that far).

Honestly, this sounds bad....and cheap. Red Eagle is a joke. RJ called them out when he was alive. They squeezed themselves in to the Amazon WOT series as executive producers because of the "Winter Dragon" as a blatant and transparent rights hold back in 2015. The way they treated Dabel Brothers who created the New Spring graphic novel was wrong. The artwork in the final 3 or 4 issues was not great, esp in comparison to the first. A lot of that was because of the non-payment of artists and I guess they had to scramble to get new people.

Red Eagle is a garbage company and I honestly think they see this as a cash cow. Get some of that GOT-type money. They retained the rights to do prequels in the universe (I think an AOL project has been floated). So they are going to try to milk that.

Hopefully it fails.

It's always a really great sign to brag about 'women's empowerment' then literally quote only male executives and cite that the series is made by male writers and producers. Not a woman in sight.

Heh. Yeah...that's a good point. Makes it all rather obvious what this is.
