How does shiny car equal old and retro car?

Have to rain on my parade, eh thal?

*sad puppy.
'Cause in 2045 that style will be 31 years old, of course.

It's a joke on sci-fi movies and TV shows especially when you go back and watch stuff made in the 1950s and 60s. We see the future through the eyes of the present. And stuff.

...these things seem a lot funnier in my head...

Hey, it's not raining on your parade to say car specs woosh over my head faster than I presume that thing can drive! Now quit the sad puppy, or you'll start to make me feel all bad and stuff. *grin*

To set the record straight, and restore JLB's faith in my ability to side-step all-too-common tropes, I took the current year Agera's specs and transformed them into the 2046 version. Granted, I likely underestimated the 30-years' worth advancements in raw engine power, but the effort was made nonetheless: to avoid saying this year's car is sufficient to describe future ones because this year's is going to be seriously unrefined compared to what will be rolling off the line 30 years in the future.

2014
Engine: 1,030 hp, twin-turbo, 5.0-liter V-8
0-62 mph (that is, 100 km per hour): 2.9 seconds
Starting price: $1,520,000 USD

2046
Engine: 1,460 horse power engine, V-8 block
0-62 mph (100 km/hr): <2.5 seconds
Starting price: $3,000,000 CCD

And as a note, if I had a schematic representation of the 2046 version, I would have posted it. Alas, I am not privy to Koeinigsegg's engineer's sketchpads.

*trades out sad puppy for fierce growling puppy.

That better, thal?
