The lemons thing was also lost on Nika. She’d given up a long time ago trying to guess where everyone was from, mainly because a lot of the people she met she also killed but also because the world was all mixed up like a bin of glitter in a preschool craft room. Craziness. No, she didn’t say anything at either of the other womens’ symbiotic assistance. She wasn’t thrilled to be taking walking wounded out but regardless of that, everyone could be useful. Even if only to provide distraction. Nika didn’t need really any time at all to put a round through an eye socket. Still, if would have been nice to have been informed.
The walk over was uneventful. She’d left four drones in the other safehouse with instructions to stay out of sight and observe and report in only, unless otherwise directed. The assassin had more than enough of the little swarm drones outside. Her shoes were awesome but she did shut off the lights before entering the house. Their search was satisfactorily efficient and was marked on her mental checklist for Team Spice Girl as a win. They were fearsome versus an empty house. Drones were stationed at the entrances or exits depending on who you were and she made her way to the terminal. The house did smell very clean.
Nika winked at Jacinda's joke about her not-name and keyed in like before, setting up her virtual screen. The footage was played for all to see. No secrets here. One person present in the house, joined later by the same woman from the first safe house. The two appeared to know one another, no threatening apparent. They spar, with freaking swords...then he commits seppuku and the woman beheads him. What the hell? Then she pilfers through his pockets, steals something...and leaves. Did she touch him during the fight?
