Casey listened with general fascination. She couldn’t help but be intrigued. People who by there very presence could influence the decisions of those around them. Casey could understand that to a degree. She had just wanted to teach band and by meeting Cadence had become a rock star. She knew what Seren was saying was on another level entirely. There were people out there who seemed to pull events around them. People like Nox. She wasn’t sure his influence was supernatural - he just dipped his hands in too many jars.
It was things she had never heard of before. There were similar mythologies or legends that popped up in other places. People even said that the Greek and Roman gods were the same people. Did anyone really know for sure on any of it?
Casey once again retreated to silence for a moment after Seren finished, but this time it was just to digest what she had said. Questions were popping up in her mind. ”This is fascinating. I’d love to read more on this - or talk about it more.” she smiled. ”We see magic is real now. There might be some truth to it. Makes me wonder though if they know they’re capable of it, and if the consequences are always bad ones.” she contemplated. ”I just think that most people are generally good people and they don’t want to hurt anyone else. Even those who have unique gifts.” it was something near to her. After all she knew there were people who thought she should be dead for existing.
Casey shifted gears to Seren’s question about favorite films. ”Films do have similar themes. Hope is a big one - and triumph through adversity. It’s hard to pick a favorite though. There are so many good ones.” She looked up in thought. ”A favorite that comes to mind though, particularly this time of year is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” It’s about a man who gets a chance to see what the world would be like if he had never been born. Very old movie,” she paused, considering. ”I think that it’s actually a century old now. I think it was made in 1946. Probably obscure to people who don’t get into old movies - but I think everyone should see it sometime. But that’s me.” she gave a smile at that. The theme of the movie was really timeless
