Madison & Mackenzie
Maddi was off as soon as the other kids arrived she saw Sera and Gen and was ready to play. She'd done her work and she could do whatever she wanted and watching Kenzie spar was never very fun. She'd rather dance. And so would they. So the three of them set off into their own little corner away from everyone else to play.
Kenzie watched Tatyana draw into herself and frown. "It's okay. No one will bother you. Let's spar." She said as she turned to take up stance and distract the woman. Sometimes she was more like a frightened child. They lived here -- this was their home they had the right to be there even if they shouldn't be here now -- it was unusual.
The children clomped downstairs, Juls almost went with them until she remembered this was their home, they knew exactly where to go, and what they could do. She imagined the rules here were even stricter since Nox actually lived here. He seemed like a lax guy until you really got to know him and knew that he was a stubborn fool who lived on a clock. You'd never know it from the outside looking in.
Juls followed the others upstairs -- everyone seemed to make themselves at home in Nox's awefulliy big house. No one acted like they were uncomfortable though many hadn't been here before. Juls was surprised to find Hayden watching a movie on the couch, Lily in his arms. She shucked her coat and took all the others to the locked room. "Sky can you unlock the door for me so I can drop the coats out of the way." There was a soft click and the door opened and Juls put everyones winter weather on the bed. The room looked like most of the first floor -- hardly lived in.
"Thanks Sky." Juls said to the air as she headed back into the living space. People were milling about in the kitchen pouring drinks. Hayden had passed Lily off to one of the other girls -- who didn't love a baby and he was 'tending' bar to the bar tendenders and dancers who were now holed up in Nox's pad.
Juls smiled. "I'm going to check on the kids."
