A Journey North

Amelia Thorne
Amelia nodded her head at Lady Graciela's words. "You have my thanks," she said politely in acknowledgement of her condolences. Amelia's face didn't change, but inside she felt the pain of Evin's loss lessen.

Amelia turned back to Lord Taravin. "Thank you, Lord Taravin for your welcome. "For now, I will take my leave of you. If you have need of me, you only need to ask.  I am at your service." She gave him a bow.

She turned to Lady Graciela and Lady Misaki. "Please lead on, my Lady,"

The trio exited the tent the people near the tent looked. Whispers of Aes Sedai were shushed by those around them, not wanting to offend Amelia. It wasn't something that bothered her. As they walked she looked over the crowd, curiously. Her gazed hesitated only once and then only briefly. She thought she had seen a familiar face.  But that was impossible. Corele was dead.

They continued to move through the camp.  People got out of their way, many of them bowing and offering the honorific "Aes Sedai" or "My Lady" as they passed. They kept their pace until a voice interrupted.

"Amelia Sedai," a voice called out and as Amelia turned her head, her lip curled into a slight smile. She recognized the voice and face of the man approaching them with a long bow on his back. Daveth was one of the few outside of the Two Rivers who used one. He had apparently won it in an archery contest. He paused as he noticed the other two ladies with Amelia. He bowed to them. "My apologies, my Ladies. As a member of House Thorne, I only wished to greet the honored Aes Sedai."

Amelia looked at him. "It is good to see you again, Captain Thorne," she said before turning to the ladies. "Lady Graciela and Lady Misaki, may I present to you Captain Daveth Thorne. Captain - this is Lady Graciela Armendariz and Lady Misaki Armendariz."

"The pleasure is mine, my Ladies," he said with a proper bow.
