Checking Out Belizna
#8
Rachel was out of the car with a darling enthusiasm that made Zhenya laugh softly to herself. She let the young woman drink in the moment, waiting a little behind. A knowing smile touched her lips when a blush of power surrounded the other’s shoulders, though she did not mention it yet, lest the knowledge cause the seidr to slip away. She joined Rachel a few moments later, letting her own eyes run up the height of the building as that single word encapsulated so much of what this place might one day become.

“It will be,” she agreed. “With the work of us all.”

Zhenya led the way through the grand doors. A large foyer waited inside, cold, but out of the biting wind at least. The furnishings were still rather sparse here, and the space echoed around them as they entered. Much of the castle remained under restoration, and would be so for many more years in all likeness, but enough of the work had been completed for Belizna to welcome its first residents in the new year. Several of the main rooms were furnished properly, including a library, various bedrooms, study and lounge areas, a music room, and a communal kitchen. Though the living would be comfortably described as rustic for any accustomed to modern comforts. Zhenya suspected it was by design though.

“We can see whatever you wish,” she said warmly, listing on her gloved fingers the rooms she knew were finished by way of example. In truth it was a small portion when compared to the castle’s full size, but plenty enough for their humble beginnings. The main manor was structurally sound, though, and Rachel could explore today as she wished. Zhenya had cleared her schedule, quite pleased to do so when Natalie first asked if she’d be willing to show Rachel around. As she began to lead the way, she turned with a small smile, and said. “It gets easier to embrace every time, no?”
