Lucien's words did not go unheard. In fact, Anton heard them quite clearly even though his attention was rooted firmly on the Luminar. Lucien was as stoic as ever, his mind poised and clear, if a bit interested. Theron's, however, shifted. Deep below the poise of the leader, Anton could feel the questions beginning to flow. Bubbling in the Luminar was a question, and this question had rocked the foundation of the man to his core. There was uncertainty there, but there was also curiosity. When faced with Wonderland, Theron wanted to see how deep the rabbit hole went.
Anton narrowed his eyes not in frustration, anger, or suspicion, but in a curiosity of his own. He wondered about the questions that Theron didn't ask. Anton wouldn't ask; it wasn't his place. He could guess. Perhaps he wondered if he himself had something similar. It didn't matter at this point.
With that in mind, what Theron asked wasn't surprising, even if he wasn't sure of the answer himself. Anton's gaze went to the hand outstretched - a symbol, or maybe even an offer. There was temptation there, temptation to take that hand and feel the emotions within him, almost as if there was a hunger that needed to be dealt with. Perhaps there was. Even with his abilities and his control, Anton hadn't always understood it.
"I'm not sure, to be honest. I don't know if it works that way, but to be fair, I've never tried it," he said, as he turned his eyes back to Theron's gaze.
What he felt when he touched someone was the strongest emotions they felt at the time, magnified. There were always more there. Humans were not automatons. Emotionally, humans were incredibly complex. Some had more than others, and others, such as the other men in the room, had significant control over there's, but still, it was rarely someone felt one thing at once. Perhaps deep down, emotions echoed.
Anton brought up his hand, pulled the glove off. "I am willing to try, but I won't without permission. Seeing if this works will mean I will have to sift through your emotions. You're going to feel them shift and move. Emotions you may not even realize you're having may suddenly become stronger. Certain things will go away. I imagine it can be...uncomfortable," Anton offered his hand towards Theron's outstretched hand. He basically told him that he would be messing with his mind. Whether or not he accepted was up to him.
