“Sure,” was all she said. Intended as an apology or not, now that Ori’s body ached on the edge of exhaustion and pain, her mind was the only thing left to still. For that she planned on getting drunk, and the woman and her weird black-out viciousness didn’t seem like terrible company.

The bar was a shit hole, but one Ori knew well. Gus didn’t seem best pleased to see her, but he said nothing as she hooked herself a stool at the bar. He did glance an assessment at her apparent companion though. His lips pursed but he said nothing there either, beyond asking what she wanted.
