Nox listened to the tale. Sage had said as much, not the why, but the details he knew. Wasn't hard to figure out who Cade Reese was. And from everything Sage had found there was no refuting he was his brother -- he even resembled Aurora in an off the wall sort of way. She had always resembled their mother.

Lily suckled at the bottle he pulled from his pocket. He would have to carry more than a handful of things with him he supposed -- a real diaper bag and baby things was probably required at some point. But Nox wasn't too fussed about it at the moment Lily was content..

"Nothing that I'm aware of. My mother died from a hell hound that ripped her apart and Aurora died from an asshole monster who drowned her. And we knew no one from my mom's side of the family."

"You don't think she's my mom though."

Nox shrugged. "I didn't say that. You're mom died or went missing. My dad saved my mom and they've been together ever since. Well until she died and then he died and then Aurora died and now there's just me." It was what it was. "I can't find anything that says you aren't related. We could do a DNA test see how similiar it was but I think it would prove what you and I already know."

"And what's that?"

"My mother left you when you were a kid and she had a whole other family." The music in his ear told him he wasn't feeling right. He hadn't let it suffuse his body. Nox took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, that was rude however true it was. It all comes down to one thing, we share genetics. What is it you want to know about?"
