In the days following the Texan declaration, events moved swiftly. The State’s representation in Congress carefully omitted themselves from DC prior to the closing of the border, orchestrating what was clearly a well-planned strategy. In secret, communication was initiated between Texas leadership and those of neighboring states. While attention homed in on the largest breech in American faith since the Civil War, those whom formerly allied with their mighty neighbor were overlooked. It soon became clear that a splintering of the deep south, Texas, and the desert southwest threatened catastrophe for the United States.

Meanwhile, South America approached Ascendancy with their petition put forth by the Union of South American Nations. In between, the governments of Central America operate under the guise of Damien Oakland. However, when Damien departed to the CCD and never returned, power reverted to those whom he previously conquered. The largest and most influential of those groups is currently the Amengual clan, which controls the widest berth of territory and governments.

Together, pressure escalated in the west, especially when the announcement of the Custody’s newest growth was declared. Dominance VIII would encompass an entire continent, but the position of Patron remained eligible. The contenders made for a long list.
